Signature Cars’ new Mercedes-Benz Vito ‘gets them to the church on time’

“We started to pick up enquiries from potential clients asking if we could provide more spacious transport with additional seating, mainly for bridesmaids but also larger family groups,” she recalled. “It became obvious that we were going to miss out on bookings if we couldn’t offer this as part of our package.”

The new start-up decided to take the plunge and invest in another vehicle, so it could meet this demand. “We knew we had to take great care to choose the right one, though,” said Kerrie. “Image is everything in this business. It was crucial, therefore, that as well as offering the passenger accommodation we needed, our new wedding vehicle should also set the highest possible standards of comfort and style.”

She continued: “When we went out to the market we soon realised that the Mercedes-Benz Vito was the only realistic option. Ciceley Commercials’ Sales Executive Andrew Kinnersley was attentive, but never pushy, in helping us to specify a model that meets our needs perfectly, and at the right price too.”

The Vito Tourer has two rows of rear seats, in addition to those of the driver and front-seat passenger. Appropriately finished in bridal white, Signature Cars’ vehicle is fully carpeted, air-conditioned, and features elegant chrome trim and tinted passenger windows. The operator has also added a set of stylish, 18-inch alloy wheels.

As a 116 CDI variant, it is powered by a 161 hp version of the manufacturer’s advanced, 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine, which returns up to 45.6 mpg (combined cycle) and drives the rear wheels – other Vito models are available with front-wheel drive.

Signature Cars took advantage of competitive funding support from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. Like all new Mercedes-Benz Vans, its Vito came with a three-year, unlimited mileage warranty, and MobiloVan cover, which includes free, 24-hour emergency breakdown assistance from factory-trained technicians.
