eVito Panel Van safety features

This latest eVito comes loaded with the driver support and safety features listed below, including Active Brake Assist.

Active ESP – Standard

Anything can happen on the roads – but Active ESP is here to intervene automatically in the event of collisions, unstable driving conditions or disruption caused by severe weather. Using a variation of sensors within the eVito, Active ESP can support the driver with direction-stabilising brake power, skid control, anti-lock braking and more.

Active Brake Assist – Standard

Active Brake Assist improves driver and pedestrian safety by giving audible and visual alerts in the face of oncoming danger, taking over and braking autonomously if necessary – critically, the system also recognises and responds to pedestrians and stationary objects.

Hill Start Assist- Standard

Hill Start Assist gives drivers extra time to move off when the eVito is paused on an uphill slope, maintaining breaking pressure for a few moments to ensure the vehicle doesn’t roll back.

Emergency Call System – Standard

In the event of an accident or collision, the eVito is fitted with the Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call System which will contact the emergency services instantly on your behalf – ensuring that assistance comes as quickly as possible.

Crosswind Assist – Standard

Crosswind Assist uses ADAPTIVE ESP® sensor technology to detect strong crosswinds and helps the driver to remain in their lane by autonomous targeted braking intervention. This is particularly helpful on bridges or when passing trucks and coaches.

Attention Assist – Standard

Thanks to steering wheel sensors, the Attention Assist function can pick up typical signs of drowsiness and alert the driver through a combination of audio and visual signals.

Acoustic Presence Indicator – Standard

All our electric vehicles come as standard with an external acoustic warning to alert pedestrians or cyclists at speeds under 19 mph.

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC – Optional

Automatically maintains the distance to vehicles in front. The system accelerates the vehicle by itself and brakes it with a maximum of half the vehicle‘s braking power in order to maintain a safe distance.

PRE-Safe – Optional

The PRE-SAFE® anticipatory occupant protection system can detect critical driving situations at an early stage and initiate preventive protection measures.
