The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales of the complete Mercedes-Benz truck range to current and prospective customers.

• Develop and deliver a fleet sales plan targeting medium and large operators.
• Prospect for new fleet customers through research, networking and structured business development.
• Manage complex, multi-vehicle sales opportunities and long sales cycles.
• Prepare fleet proposals covering vehicle specification, funding, repair and maintenance, whole-life costs and total cost of ownership.
• Work with customers, bodybuilders and internal teams to coordinate vehicle specifications, build schedules and phased fleet deliveries.
• Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, sales forecast and account-development plans.
• Identify replacement cycles and secure repeat business from existing fleet accounts.
• Respond to formal tenders and deliver presentations to senior decisionmakers.
• Maximise the potential of package selling by promoting the advantages of Mercedes-Benz R&M contracts, low whole life costs and product reliability
• Demonstrate all aspects of the Mercedes-Benz product to the customer including body specifications using all the available marketing materials and demonstrators where possible
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout entire customer journey through to repurchase
• Deliver a service that is consistently above and beyond customers’ expectations

• Proven success in a truck sales environment
• Experience managing major accounts and multiple stakeholder relationships.
• Proven ability to independently prospect, identify and generate new business opportunities within target fleet accounts.
• Strong knowledge of fleet procurement, replacement cycles and total-cost-of-ownership principles.
• Experience creating commercial proposals and negotiating complex, high-value contracts.
• Ability to manage a substantial sales pipeline, forecast accurately and use CRM systems effectively.
• Confidence presenting to senior decisionmakers and procurement teams.
• Willingness to travel nationally and attend customer meetings outside normal hours when required.
• Extensive knowledge of HGV market
• Experience in solution selling
