After visiting a few touristy spots in Dublin, such as the Guinness factory (shame he was driving!) Gary headed to the port to get on the ferry back to Wales. He loaded up the eActros with many other trucks and set sail for Wales. After an overnight rest stop at Bolton so Gary could have a good nights sleep he started the next stage of the journey from Bolton to Wentworth Park with 56% and 171 miles range.
Gary reached his destination with 128 miles in the tank! Wow, from Dublin to Barnsley on a single charge, plus 128 miles and 41% charge left! Gary said his experience of driving the eActros was an incredible look at the future of trucks.
“It was the best driving experience of my life and I’ve been driving for 48 years! The range and recuperation on the truck was phenomenal. At times we used 10 miles of range to get up a hill on the motorway, but recuperated that 10 miles on the way down the hill!”
