We all know how important our relationship with our customers is to our continuing business. Gary, who works as a Driver Trainer at Ciceley Commercials, has been commended by his colleagues for going that extra mile in building trust and confidence in our product. Gary recently worked with a customer who was used to dealing with another manufacturer and wasn’t happy to leave home every morning for a Mercedes-Benz Actros!
Determined to change the customer’s opinion of our brand, Gary dedicated himself to providing one-to-one coaching and telephone support. Forward thinking Gary monitored Fleetboard to see if his customer had had a bad day. He would then pick up the phone to his customer to see how he could help.
Due to the excellent relationship between Gary and the driver – the driver contacted Gary one Sunday to let him know he had achieved 15 mpg and was thrilled. This was soon followed by another call one Saturday afternoon, when Gary was at a wedding reception, to say he had achieved 17.1 mpg on a run and was ecstatic!
Through Gary’s coaching and support he converted a driver who was demotivated to have been taken out of his usual truck and apprehensive about an Actros.
