The Ciceley Motorport team have been incredibly busy over the past six months as this season they embark on an exciting new era.
The team have sadly said goodbye to the A-Class. Over its seven seasons, the A-Class helped Adam to achieve 28 podiums and eight wins. In six of the seven seasons Adam finished within the top ten drivers.
This season, Ciceley Motorsport will launch their new 3 series BMWs with a new headline sponsor, Car Gods. Car Gods is a Tetrosyl brand, that includes a range of 40 hand-crafted products to cover all aspects of vehicle detailing. After the success of their previous sponsorship with their Carlube brand, Tetrosyl were keen to continue their sponsorship by promoting their relatively new brand, Car Gods.
The team are incredibly excited to get started this season and put the new rear-wheel drive cars through their paces. They have high hopes for fantastic results.
“This has got to be our biggest year to date,” said the squad’s Commercial Manager, Norman Burgess. “With new title sponsorship, new cars and two top drivers (Adam Morgan and Tom Chilton), together with our existing engineers, team members and values, we’re in the best possible position to do well in 2021 and beyond. It gives us great confidence moving towards a new era with the BTCC’s move to hybrid in 2022.”
“Testing has been spot on,” added Adam Morgan. “Both Tom and I have really got to grips with the BMW and its rear-wheel-drive characteristics straight away. We have been on the pace at every test so far and still have another four tests to go before the season starts. We are all very confident that the cars will be ultra-competitive straight out of the box.”
The 2021 season kicks off this weekend at Thruxton. Thruxton is a 2.4mile circuit that is often referred to as “the fastest circuit in the UK”. It is a circuit that favours the front wheel drive car and so not the preferred first circuit of the season for Ciceley Motorsport. We may not get to see what the new BMWs are truly capable of but we still cannot wait to see them action
