Ciceley Commercials was born in 1972 as Brian Morgan decided to take on the challenge of opening his first business in Blackburn. In 2023 the business celebrated 50 years of operations and the 3rd generation of Ciceley continue to be involved in the business. Take a look at the below timeline for more information.

1972Ciceley Commercials Ltd was formed in May 1972 by Brian Morgan and his family, and operated from the original Ciceley Lane site in Blackburn, with a team consisting of just 18 employees.

1973Ciceley was appointed as the first Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle franchise for the Lancashire area. We are now over 50 years old as a business.

1996Ciceley grew rapidly between 1996 and 2002 with the acquisition of premises in Bolton in 1996, Carlisle in 1998 and Dumfries in 2002.

2003By 2003 the original Ciceley Lane facilities had become unsuitable for modern day needs, therefore a purpose-built facility was opened in December adjacent to the Junction 4 intersection of the M65, able to accommodate another Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Franchise. The Ciceley Lane site now houses our Head Office, including a purpose-built PDI centre, which was opened in 2018.

TodayWe have a team of over 200 well-trained individuals, dedicated to courteous and efficient customer service. The 3rd generation of Ciceley are involved in the business and hope to ensure that the growth enjoyed in the past continues for many, many years
